Working together

Where?

My practice is based in a bright, comfortable studio at the end of my private walled garden in Shaftesbury, North Dorset.  Parking is available.

I also work online and by telephone.

When?

Sessions last one hour and are usually held weekly, helping us build momentum and establish our work together.

Over time, some clients choose to move to fortnightly sessions or take a short break to reflect on and integrate their learning. Others prefer to continue meeting weekly.

Some clients come for a short period, perhaps six sessions, to focus on a specific issue. Others work with me over the medium or longer term, or on an open-ended basis, until they feel ready to move on.

My practice is flexible, and together we will create the best shape for your own counselling.

How?

I offer all potential clients a free 20-minute consultation online or by phone. This gives you the chance to have a short chat with me, ask me any questions about how I work, and decide if I may be the right counsellor for you.

Our first session provides an opportunity to explore what brings you to therapy and consider a focus for our work together. If you feel unsure where to start, or nervous about taking the first step, that is completely normal. My aim is to help you feel welcomed, safe and supported from day one.

As our work develops, we will regularly review progress and adjust our focus where needed.

How much?

My standard fee is £50 per session.

I have several spaces each week at a reduced cost for those experiencing financial hardship. Please get in touch if you would like to find out more.
